Easy Customized Hostess Gifts - Monogrammed Tea Towels

I am a gift "hoarder" - meaning I will find inexpensive gift ideas throughout the year and hoard them in my closet until I find the perfect occasion/person for it. Thanks to my Cricut Explore Air I can customize almost anything in just a few minutes - and these clearance tea towels from Jo-Ann were no exception! {FTC disclaimer: this post contains affiliate links which means I might make a little money if you buy something.}

A few tips about monograms:

Single letter monograms take just a few minutes (literally!) - the hardest part is deciding on your font!

Monograms are also a great way to use your scraps...I used scraps of Cricut Iron-on Lite in Pink and Glitter Iron-on in Kelly for my monograms.

I was able to use the same mat for both monogram cuts because you can move items on your mat prior to cutting in Design Space (see below - I moved my "K" all the way to the right side of the mat in Design Space before I hit continue to cut). I didn't have to look for a second mat or remove the first monogram before I cut the second one. Time saver!

Last but not least - when using iron-on DO NOT forget to click the "mirror" tab on the left side of the screen before cutting!

And voila! In just a few minutes you've got fun custom gifts that would be perfect for any occasion.
